Schilo's also happens to be an old-school take-out deli, since 1917 to be exact. Choose from one of their favorite sandwiches (Reubens, subs, bagels and lox or the always-popular Polish Neighbor), or go a bit more traditional with single meat selections. Top it all off with ever-full plates of rye bread and sweet butter (the German version of chips and salsa) and a frosty mug of their homemade root beer, or try one of the German and local beers on tap. As you try to leave, Schilo's waitresses--most in their early 60's (seriously, her name was Flo), wearing poofy peasant blouses--will tempt you with dessert offerings: They serve sublime fruit strudels and hunks of rich cheesecake. One last note, I believe that they may have the hottest mustard i've ever tried.
