Most media reports praise the Prius and tend to proclaim Toyota's hybrid car flag-bearer as the most eco-friendly and economical car that money can buy. But Jeremy Clarkson, star of the popular BBC program "Top Gear," says not so fast.
Clarkson's argument is that a car designed for speed--in this case a BMW M3--might be more economical than a Toyota Prius. Not only could they be more economical, but Clarkson also gives other reasons why the Prius could cause more damage to the environment than we think. Comparing the specs of each car, you could conclude that his theory could hardly be realistic, but is it? Clarkson puts the M3 and Prius to a test drive and the results--well, you'll see.
